Life Mission, USA - Buddhism & Yoga
In 2003, Swami Satyanand was teaching a Yoga course in Chicago and a Buddhist disciple of Master Sea Cloud of the Huayen World Community happened to be taking his course. She arranged for Master Sea Cloud to Meet Swami Satyanand. When Master Sea Cloud witnessed the authentic Yoga Swami Satyanand was both practicing and teaching, he invited Swami to come to their Monastery in Taiwan to teach Yoga to their Monks.
Swami Satyanand has since travelled to Taiwan four times to provide his Yoga teaching there. Thus began an ever deepening association between the Huayen World Community, Life Mission, Master Sea Cloud, Swami Satyanand and Swami Satyanand’s Guru, Swami Rajarshi Muni.
Master Sea Cloud (Master Haiyun Jimeng) has sent many of his disciples to India for training and Master Sea Cloud himself came to India in December, 2008 to meet Satyanand’s Guru, Swami Rajarshi Muni. It was there that he was able to establish for himself that Swami Rajarshi Muni was, indeed, the realized Yoga Master he had been seeking. Moreover, he was also able to confirm that the Lakulish lineage, to which Swami Rajarshi Muni belonged, was, in fact, the authentic Yoga he had long searched for that had been lost in the Buddhist Mahayana Yogacara tradition for centuries.
The close association between Life Mission and Huayen World Community has resulted in the the Huayen World Community integrating Divine Yoga and Sanatan Culture of the Lakulish tradition into its practices. Receiving this Mahayana Yoga from Life Mission has been a historical milestone for Mahayana Buddhism.
