In 1993 the founder of the Lakulish lineage appeared before the current spiritual head of the lineage, Swami Rajarshi Muni, and gave him a divine command to withdraw from his secluded yoga sadhana and propagate the principles of yoga and sanatan dharm (eternal cul-ture) throughout the world. These principles include the spiritual paths of devotion (bhakti), action (karma) and knowledge (jnan). His holiness Swami Rajarshi Muni subsequently founded and established a nonprofit organiza-tion, Life Mission, in Gujarat, India.
In order to further spread the message, he instructed his disciple Swami Satyanand in June 2002 to propagate the di-vine message abroad. Since then Swamiji has been constantly on the move in the US, Canada and Taiwan teaching karma, jnan and bhakti yoga, as well as the heal-ing science of Ayurved. Now, with the blessings of God, Swamiji has created a re-treat center in Mebane, NC, as the North American head-quarters for Life Mission. This Ashram has been established to promote activities that lead to spiritual development, including purification of the body and mind through the practice of yoga combined with healing methods such as natural remedies of Ay-urveda, naturopathy and nutri-tion. This beautiful and inspiring yoga and health retreat is open to all irrespective of age, gender, race and religion.
